Welcome to Aladura Theological Institute

Aladura Theological Institute (A.T.I) is an Institute of The Church of the Lord Worldwide. The Seminary was established to offer professional training for those who have the “call of God” upon their lives and for those who want to know more of God in order to better their relationship with Him. Equip these leaders with skills, which will make them effective in their service of the word through the life of the churches and denominations. Also to expose students to areas of learning that would make them take up careers in teaching, administration, social work and any useful human endeavour.

The Institution formation started in 1929 and was from inception called School of Disciple. In 1970 the Institution went through a significant transformation both in its structural status and academic value receiving valuable inputs from Dr. and Mrs. Harold Williams Turner as well as immeasurable contribution and assistance from the American Mennonites. Rev. Mrs. Hostetter of the American Mennonites worked for a period of six years as Principal of the Seminary. Since then the Seminary has maintained its spiritual standard and academic excellence. The Institution turns out grounded theological students ready to work for the Lord any where in the world every year. The Seminary is situated on a vast land mass beside Mount Tabieorar Ground Km 60, Lagos Ibadan/Expressway, Ogere-Remo along the Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The Shield, the Cross and the Bible have been the items that make up the logo of the school since inception. These symbolic items together with the words written underneath them convey in a great way, the spirit of School. The Shield stands for defensive armour to protect the body when fighting; as Christian, faith must be our shield. It is a Universal defense that quenches the fiery darts of the enemies so that they do not hurt us. The 3 rings on the cross stand for the Trinity and Union of the three Persons-God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The cross stands for the sacrificial death of Jesus at Calvary through which salvation is received by men; before salvation could be received by any man, he must believe that Jesus died for him. Anyone whose service will be acceptable to the Lord must himself be saved. The HOLY BIBLE stands for the Word of God. We believed that the Church of God is built and maintained by the truth of God’s Word; so the school stands for sound and balanced teaching of the Holy Bible.

The Blue Sea stands for the troubled world we live in, where we fish for Christ. Thus, as Ministers of God, we preach the risen Saviour who died on the Cross to the troubled world through the living Word of God backed up by the Trinity as represented by the 3 rings on the Cross. The Green, Yellow and Red colors used also symbolized some truths. Those colors symbolized great value and purity. The Minister is expected to give the service to His Lord, grow in creation as well as help others to grow in life. The truths conveyed in these symbolic items are summed up in this statement.

Spiritual Support

We encourage our students to study to show themselves approved unto God. That they me be a vessel fit for the master's use. We also emphasize on the instrumentality of prayer which has the potent of lifting men if used scripturally.

A Connected Community

We have developed an inclusive culture of learning in the school, providing an environment that maximize students learning with emphasis on high expectations, engagement and achievement. Globally there have been significant changes to the ways that students learn and teachers teach.
